How we calculate
We work out your floor area (length × width of each room) and add a waste allowance for cuts: 10% for Standard and Premium planks, and 15% for Herringbone because of the angled cuts at the walls. That total is divided by the area each box covers and rounded up to whole boxes. Skirting is worked out from the wall length plus 10% for corners and joins, in 1220 mm lengths. Rooms with lots of angles, alcoves or doorways may need a little extra – if in doubt, send us your floor plan.
